Over a decade ago, McLaren made history with their iconic F1, the fastest road legal car ever made (at the time). McLaren only built 106 of the hyper cars to maintain exclusivity but Chairman Ron Dennis has made a striking statement “Since 1966, when McLaren first raced in F1, 106 teams have come and gone – and that tells me that if we stay solely as an F1 team it will lead to extinction.” Their new car, the stunning MP4-12C is said to be a bid to fight off the financial curse of F1 teams, by becoming a fully fledged road car manufacturer.

McLaren expects to build around 1,200 MP4s each year, around the same amount of cars as the companies it will be competing with. It will cost around 150,000 which is standard supercar money and 1,600 have already been pre-ordered.

McLaren will be building a new factory to produce the car which is set to go into production in 2011, when production begins it will create 300 new jobs. McLaren revealed the MP4-12C at a press conference at their futuristic headquarters outside of Woking; it was uncovered by its first two test drivers, McLarens star F1 racers, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

“The 12C won’t take you to the edge of what’s possible; it will take you to the edge of the edge. It’s what we call an ‘and’ car. It’s powerful and efficient; lightweight and safe; fast and comfortable” Claimed Antony Sheriff, Managing Director. The ultra light car will be built around a revolutionary carbon monocell which is incredibly strong and supposedly able to hit 60mph in “under three seconds”.

The 12C is not being questioned as a supercar; instead the bigger question is whether the McLaren brand will be affected by the loss of their exclusivity? Will every millionaire want one if they know the wont own the only one on the roads? It’s a question that only time will answer but one that could determine the future of this Formula racing giant.

The speed the MP4-12C is capable might persuade McLaren to provide a driving offence solicitor with each car. Their previous F1 required almost every owner to enlist a speeding solicitor at some stage

Traffic tickets can stick with you for a while. Some states will keep this violation on your record for 2 or 3 years. You will also face higher insurance premiums, once you have paid the expensive fee that often accompanies a violation. If you feel that you were unjustly served a violation, there are a number of techniques you can use in court in order to prevent this violation from sticking to your record.

Typically, a violation is given due to the subjective judgment of a police office. Challenge this view, but make sure to use facts to back up your argument to make it reasonable. When you only depend on your word versus the officer’s word, the judge will most likely side with the officer. For instance, challenge where the officer was located, and how this may have hindered his viewpoint of what actually happened.

There are practical steps you can take to create doubt in a judge’s mind. Remember; do not only rely on your words and your version of the story. Gather real information and facts to build your case.

Example of case building can be the gathering of eyewitness statements. Take statements from bystanders or the passenger in the car, who may be willing to testify on your behalf. Present a simple and easy to understand diagram of the location of the incident. This may be particularly helpful if you are disputing an incident that involves an intersection. Consult assistance with a professional criminal lawyer if you feel unprepared for your trial.

Present pictures of road signs or conditions that may have provoked your driving. These pictures can be used to show unclear road signs, such as a stop sign covered by a tree, etc. You can also use this strategy to show that the officer may not have had a clear vantage point of what supposed driving violation you committed, from where the police car was parked.

Prove to the judge that you made an honest, unintentional mistake. This may happen if you failed to stop at a pedestrian stop because the strips were faded. You may have missed a stop sign that has just been placed. With this strategy you are building a case that you could not have known what action was required of you, since the conditions were so unclear.

Sometimes you may have had to actually do what you are being violated for. In this case, you may seek legal justification. For instance, you may have been driving slowly in the left lane because you were preparing for a legal left turn. You may have switched lanes without using a signal because a car was closing in on you quickly, and you were afraid of being part of an accident.

It may seem that fighting traffic tickets are a lost cause, but not fighting them may become a burden to your wallet. You will have to pay the fee that is associated with the violation. Then, you can also expect to pay higher premium rates on your automobile insurance. In addition, you can also expect demerit points placed on your license. Depending on your state these points may stay on your license anywhere from 2-3 years.

As the leading professional legal services across the province, our team of DUI lawyer Toronto will assist you with any traffic tickets. We specialize in representing drunk and driving Toronto clients charged with traffic offences, as well as compliance management services for the trucking industry.

A sentence of five months in jail has been handed to Britain’s most convicted driver, Thomas Feely, after collecting over 110 driving offences. He was pulled over by police in Leeds where he was found to be driving a van with no licence, no insurance and whilst currently disqualified and just three days before he was due to be sentenced for an earlier similar offence.

Despite contesting he needs to drive because of his mobile DJ business, Leeds magistrates said his 59 previous driving bans were the worst they had ever seen and there would be no excuses. Feely has been convicted of 89 offences in his 28 years of driving, but so far avoided jail.

It is a devastating blow for the reputation of British traffic police, some counties have reported over 30 convictions on some roads each day. The government has received much criticism as despite the installation of over 6000 speed cameras there has been very little effect on the safety of driving. Some argue that the notion is being used to generate revenue for the government in the form of speeding fines.

Sarah Fatica, of road safety charity ‘brake’ says, “Anyone who has been disqualified so many times poses a serious risk on the roads, it’s disturbing that he has been allowed to continue breaking his ban time and time again.” She argued that “Five months in jail is laughable given his continued disregard for the law”

Behaviour like Feely’s has been one of the primary factors to an increase in car insurance for Britain’s drivers. The average comprehensive insurance policy now costs over 1000 a year, an increase of 20% since 2008. Motor group the AA has attributed this largely to uninsured drivers, which is expected to cost UK motorists 2.1bn this year alone. Critics argue that this will cause a vicious cycle in a recession where more and more people are tempted to drive without insurance, therefore raising premiums.

If you have been convicted of and driving offences you could make use of a traffic offence solicitor especially if you already have a drink driving ban

The government and the authorities have had serious criticism from UK drivers over the legality of many of their speed cameras. The devices are intended as a ‘deterrent’ from speeding to improve road safety but many argue that they are simply designed to bring the government revenue. In the past year alone, speed cameras have generated over 100m in the UK.

There are a variety of vague boundaries in which many consider traffic police and councils to be taking liberties. There are many arguments against both fixed speed cameras and mobile units. There is also an argument that new digital systems cannot be trusted as they are not safe from tampering.

One of the largest criticisms of fixed cameras is their placement and visibility to motorists. Many forward facing cameras are purposefully placed behind large street signs, trees or walls to avoid being spotted by motorists until they are in its range. This has been disputed as the law states cameras MUST be in place as a visual deterrent and not an entrapment device which cannot be possible if they are obscured from view. If the speed limit is 40mph or less, they must be visible from 60m, 100m over 40mph.

The use of mobile speed cameras has been popular due to the flexibility and range of use they offer. Despite a strict set of rules and regulations, there is much proof that officers have been operating illegally to increase revenue. If a driver is caught speeding and believes the camera which spotted them was placed illegally they have no right to appeal unless they can provide evidence, although this is not at all a guarantee. Groups of individuals have taken to rebellion by collecting images of camera vans parked on pavements with double yellow lines, hidden around bends, in the way of pedestrians and blocking entrances to properties and posting them online in a fight against an unlawful use of entrapment.

A change in legislation in 1992 saw that any new speed camera would need to be approved by parliament but reportedly none of the 6000 speed cameras set up since then have acquired the essential approval. This means that practically every single speeding ticket issue in the UK since 1992 could be illegal and all evidence collected on the roads could be dismissed.

If you have lost your driving licence you will have either reached the highest number of penalty points allowed or have committed an offence that was considered by the courts to have put the lives of others at risk.

If you have lost your driving licence you will have either reached the highest number of penalty points allowed or have committed an offence that was considered by the courts to have put the lives of others at risk.

Depending on the severity of the offence, the length of a driving ban can range from one year to ten years. In extreme cases, a judge will give an offender a lifetime disqualification, with the safety of the public at mind.

When the offence is less severe you may be required to serve a Short Period Disqualification (SPD) which is less than 56 days. You will need to give your licence to the court for the period of time and a permanent record will be made but it will not be surrendered, you will not be required to retake a test and you can start driving once the SPD has expired.

If you have lost your licence you may reapply after the period of the disqualification which can be done by filling in the correct forms available online or at a post office. This will only get you a provisional driving licence so you can apply to re-take the theory, hazard perception and practical test.

The endorsements of a disqualification will remain on a licence unless otherwise instructed by a magistrate for which you will need to appear and present your case for removal.

If someone has been disqualified they may apply for their licence earlier than the expiry of the disqualification. However, this depends on the individual circumstances of the driver and the length of the ban.

A court may allow a driver to only serve half their disqualification if they have undertaken drink driving rehabilitation courses or other steps to ensure safer driving once qualified. The court may also consider the effect of the ban on an individual’s family life or career.

For bans longer than 2 years you can apply after half the proposed disqualification period, for example for a ban of 6 years you can apply after 3. If you made other offences, driving or otherwise, since your disqualification the court will immediately dismiss your application. If you are caught driving whilst banned you will face a custodial sentence and a hefty fine.

If you need advice on speeding, then visit Nick Freeman’s site if you believe you may experience exceptional hardship as a result of losing your licence.

Those of you who have ever decided to splash out on a privatised registration plate will know that once you get beyond the obscure variations on barely relevant nicknames, things get pricey! But with the rich and famous, just exactly how much are they willing to spend on a piece of white plastic on the bumper of their supercars.

One of the best known expensive number plates is one that arrogantly pronounces itself and the importance of the owner behind the wheel, ‘VIP 1′ was originally commissioned for use on Pope John Paul II’s popemobile. It is now owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich who reportedly paid 285,000 for the privilege of being recognised as ‘the number one VIP’.

Liverpool born Mike McCoomb sold his mobile phone store to BT Cellnet in 2000 for 40m, this gave him the cash to splash out 330,000 on the number plate ‘M1′ which he apparently bought for his son’s sixth birthday. Not only will the poor lad not be able to drive for nine more years but he probably doesn’t even understand the significance of an expensive number plate.

McCoomb’s record was broken by Afzal Kahn, a Bradford entrepreneur by spending 440,000 on his ‘F1′ number plate which he duly mounted on his Mercedes SLR McLaren, designed by the actual F1 McLaren team. Considering the riches involved in Formula one racing, Kahn believes he was lucky to only pay that much as he believes it could have gone for much more.

The world record for the most expensive number plate ever sold was not in Britain but the rich Arab state of Abu Dhabi. Saeed Abdul Ghaffer Khouri, from one of the country’s richest families paid nearly 8m for a prized ‘1′ number plate. In the car culture of Abu Dhabi’s, single digit number plates are the most sought after and obviously number one is considered the best. Khouri has not made it clear which car he will be adorning with the number plate but it is certain that whatever he puts it on; the number plate will be worth many times more.

If you splash out on fancy cars and now need a speeding solicitorbecause you have been caught speedingwhy not check out Oliver and Co for the best solicitors of motoring law.

Close to call so you run through the light as it changes an before you get seconds down the road more red lights are behind you, except these lights are in your rear view mirror. Its the police and they are pulling you over for running a red light. Not the way you wanted it to go.

Most red lights are very visible to the driver running them. Some of them can be blurred or not visible by a driver due to the sunshine that is right behind the lights. Its not easy to see and a guess on what it is is all you have.

The makers of signal lights that the environments into their design of the lights and the effects of the sun on them. Many have a black backdrop on them so the driver can see them better. This will help the look of the lights be brighter even during the day as well. Signal lights are put together with the lights in the same location.

The lights are installed or produced in the same order in all the manufactured signal lights. This helps if the driver is color blind and the sequence of the lights will be the same at all intersections. The lights are also spaced in an order that will get your attention as you wait for the change.

There are places where a special light is needed that are not the same as those on intersections. These lights will need to be special ordered lights. The normal colors in a light are red, yellow and green. Other colors used to be available for purchase and they were used in local street has all but gone for the sake of conforming standard.

It would be a good idea to remember to watch for the changes when approaching any light since they change so frequently. The time you sit at a light seems to be a long time to most people but in reality the time you sit at a light is usually only from 1 minute to 1.5 minutes.

When you are entering into a intersection the light can turn to another color, usually from green to yellow. As you enter the intersection, according to DPS, if you are midway through the intersection you should go through and continue on as long as the it is safe. As you get close to any intersection it would be a good idea to be ready to stop if the light changes on you suddenly.

Most of us have experienced seeing drivers speed up right as the lights are turning and run through the yellow light only to be running the red light by the time they enter the intersection. If a police officer sees them they will decide then if the driver ran the red or ran through the yellow. Mounted on more and more lights in intersections are the cameras that monitor the intersection for drivers running a red light. So be careful what you see the cameras are watching.

Curious how to fight a speeding traffic ticket? Fighting a traffic ticket is something many drivers may experience at least once in their driving career. In large part due to so many people now using their cars in addition to their homes and offices for work related issues, this is true more so now than ever before. Resulting in a number of speeding violations due to driver distraction while possibly using a variety of electronic devices.

While there is a time and place for everything, behind the wheel of a car is not the place to conduct business through e-mailing, text messaging or using a personal computer. However, for those who must conduct business by car phone, there are now a number of hands free devices. These devices allow drivers to work hands free but can still be distracting if one is not cautious based on the conversation one may be having at any given time. Also, recent statistics suggest that drivers who are distracted while accomplishing such tasks run the sames risk as do those who travel under the influence.

Distraction is the key concern when it comes to using electronic devices while driving. For if one is looking down and not at the speedometer, instant speeding ticket. If one does not see a stop sign, one could very well hit either a car or pedestrian while distracted, both of which could result in a great deal of costs, jail time or both. Therefore, the time has come to put down the electronic devices and remain aware at all times while driving. In doing so, drivers might very well save their own life and the lives of others.

However, these are not the only factors contributing to drivers who speed. Some may want to attempt to race, while others may just be in too big of a hurry to get to their destination. Whatever the case, if one receives a traffic fine for speeding it can often be very expensive, not to mention costly and near impossible to get dismissed.

Fighting a traffic ticket is never a simple act. However, it is one many individuals take on, especially those who are innocent of speeding. Therefore, if one is going to deny speeding, it is important to secure an attorney and never suggest guilt. To this end, one has a better chance of defending oneself and winning the case.

Of course, most of the time drivers speed, it is because they simply were not aware. In large part, once again due to the many distractions possible while driving. However, new laws are being established to deter drivers from using electronic devices while on the road. Will these new laws prevent drivers from using such devices behind the wheel? Most likely not, therefore all drivers, even the safest of drivers, need to pay attention while behind the wheel.

However, for those drivers who honestly, truly believe they were not speeding, then defense is the only option. Because, only guilty parties should be required to pay a fine. Therefore, if you believe you are innocent, it is imperative to talk with a traffic attorney to attempt to clear up the issue. For, while there may be a small cost to do so now, not doing so later could result in the cancellation or suspension of a driving license.

One can also try to fight a speeding violation regardless of guilt, in hopes the officer which cited one does not show up to court. Many traffic fines have been abolished in this fashion. However, if one is guilty and the officer does appear, then one need be aware that most likely there will be no change in the charges presented and one could even have to pay the additional cost of court or hearing .

While in some cases, a judge will allow drivers to take a defensive driving course in order to have a ticket dismissed, the judge generally assigns one to a specific program. However, if one is given the option, there are many types of programs in which one can complete this type of agreement. Some of these are the traditional classroom defensive driving course, comedy defensing driving courses and now, defensive driving videos one can often complete at home. Also, while some may see these classes as punishment, others while they may not like same, understand that there may also be benefits later with regards to a reduction in car insurance rates. However, before one thinks this is a crime that pays, think again. Definitely, think again, as often individuals who drive reckless and speed often not only have to pay a fine, complete jail time or run the risk of losing their license, in many instances such driving habits can also prevent individuals from obtaining car insurance in the future.

Individuals need be cautious however, especially with regards to speeding while traveling both in their hometown area and out of State. This is because if one gets a traffic ticket out of State and wishes to fight rather than pay same, often one has to return the State in which the ticket was issued. Also, individuals may have to return to the State whether simply paying a fine or having to appear in court. Therefore, it is important to always watch the speed at which one is traveling. However, to prevent an additional unwanted and unwarranted vacation back to the same location, it is even more important when one is traveling out of State.

In rare instances, one can also request to have some charges reduced. Therefore, it is good to be able to present oneself in a positive light when standing before a judge, hearing panel or jury when it comes to fighting a speeding ticket. In these rare instances, one must usually prove how and why they are making improvements in their life and as to why this relates to the charges at hand so drivers should prepare accordingly.

Regardless, if stopped by the police whether speeding or not, one need to be more polite than ever. This is because with all the criminal activities in recent years, both the police and the public are quicker to take action today than ever before. To this end, remaining calm, polite and respectful can allow the situation to stay relaxed for both oneself and the ticketing officer.

While it is not impossible, it is extremely difficult to fight a traffic ticket and win. For example, most police officers use radar guns to obtain the speed of drivers. Therefore, the officer will generally have a physical record of the speed one was traveling, whereas the ticketed party only has their word. A reality generally resulting in drivers still having to pay the initial fine.

So, if one is curious as to how to fight a speeding traffic ticket, if charges are serious enough to result in the cancellation of a driver’s license, one need find a way to hire an attorney specializing in traffic law to have the best possible defense. Although with enough evidence, some individuals have the capability to prove their innocence on their own behalf. However, if one does nothing, one could lose far more in the future than the cost of an attorney today.

Have you ever received a traffic ticket? In the event that you have, then you know just how serious they can be. Receiving a traffic ticket Broward County can be a very serious and stressful event. In some instances it can even cost you your driving privilege and have your license suspended. Read below and learn how the Traffic Ticket Team, www.trafficticketteam.com, can help you get out of a traffic ticket in Broward County, Florida.

The more tickets a person receives is what determines the number of points they acquire on their drivers license. In the state of Florida, if a licensed driver receives so many points on their license, the state will then revoke that person’s driving privilege for an undisclosed amount of time until the offender has satisfied the states requests to improve their driving.

It is always advised, that no matter whether you’re guilty of the traffic offense or not, to take it to court to challenge it. The reason being is because most insurance companies base their premium rates on whether or not you can be considered a safe driver. The more traffic infractions that someone receives; the higher their insurance rates and premiums will become.

Once you reach the maximum amount of points allowed, the department of motor vehicles suspends your driving license. This means that they revoke your right to operate and drive a motor vehicle. Depending on the seriousness of your traffic violation, your license could be revoked if you receive two or more tickets that you do not take care of.

Sometimes special classes are offered in order to have a certain number of points removed from your driver’s license and lifted from your driving record. The more traffic infractions and vehicle accidents someone has, the higher their automobile insurance premiums increase. Even if you are guilty of the offense in which you are accused of and ticketed for, it is always a good idea to challenge the evidence in a court of law.

Traffic court is just as serious as any other type of legal proceeding. There is but only one difference however, the type of legal proceeding which occurs is usually dependent on the seriousness of your offense. For example, if you are accused of driving under the influence then not only is it a major traffic offense, but it then is classified as a criminal offense as well.

Regardless of what particular offense you have been accused of it is usually advised that you consult with a traffic attorney. The reason for this is because traffic law is a relatively complex area of law, and deals with many different formalities. It is always advised that you consult with someone whom is both educated and experienced in this area when challenging the evidence that is submitted for your ticket.

If you are aiming to not receive a traffic ticket in Broward County, there are a couple of sure fire things that you should defiantly do. Always concentrate when you are driving. Never get distracted by talking on your cell phone, or even by playing with the radio. When you drive keep all of your focus on the road. Always be a defensive driver and expect the unexpected. If there is an erratic driver trying to pass you that is weaving all over the road, then you can expect that eventually at some point, that driver will en up in an accident, it is up to you to avoid being a party to it. The best and easiest way to avoid a traffic ticket is to always be alert. Pay close attention to your surroundings and never drive when you are sleepy or even drowsy because doing so can cause a serious accident. By doing just these three simple things, you can help yourself to avoid receiving a traffic ticket.

A discussion of toll violations can rapidly degenerate into an argument, even amongst friends. And the reason it becomes such a heated discussion has little to do with whether or not people believe that those who violate the toll booths deserve to be punished for their actions. The heart of the matter stems from a discussion about whether the tools necessary at all. The discussion is really about taxes and whether or not they are is adequately and fairly spending the funds are generated through them.

So the anti-toll faction vehemently believes that the tolls are another form of taxation and are redundant. It is their position is that taxes already collected are properly and efficiently used there would be no need to generate additional funds for roads or bridges. Their antagonists believe there are too many projects, and the government is doing the best it can to fund them, as it is. They believe is simply the same downward economic trend. The federal government has experienced playing out in our own fiscal backyard.

In any municipality the state of the road system is integral to economic development and sustenance. Large companies at wholesale moved their headquarters and their entire business because of poor road systems. That makes keeping the road system not only well-maintained but growing critical to the cities.

The interstate system that ties all of our cities together was built back in the 1950s. Contrary to popular belief that road system was designed for the US military. This explains why there are “interesting highways” in Hawaii. While the access to the highways are difficult from downtown Honolulu to go straight to the main gates of Pearl Harbor, Hickam Air Force Base, and Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe.

Fortunately the need to have mass mobilization on the scale seen during World War II has not repeated. This paved the way for the trucking industry, to seize the lead in using this network to interconnect all of our cities with goods and services. It is a pleasant side benefit that we all can use the same roads for our own business and pleasure. Unfortunately, everything needs to be repaired and maintained in the question is by whom.

Building and maintaining roads has become increasingly expensive, and in some cases prohibitively so. It also requires a tremendous amount of time and significant inconvenience. There’s also the question of who actually benefits from roads. If you live far from the city on a farm you might reasonably be upset about the amount of money spent on a new roadway in a city across the state. From this perceived unfairness comes to logic that those who use the road should pay for it.

While having the users pay for their place in via tolls is logical it doesn’t capture the whole picture. For instance in the large cities, major industries use the roads most yet the taxes that they pay exclusive of the tolls contribute to the entire state. So it is not true that the rural communities get no benefit from the roads in the big cities.

Toll violations are not always about people intentionally not paying the toll. The driver may have been distracted or paid the wrong amount accidentally, or just not paying attention as they pass through the toll gate. One thing for certain, a discussion of toll violations is certain to be an exciting one.
