We’ve all heard and talked about field sobriety tests. Usually it was in college after a couple of beers. Sometimes it’s after being stopped by the cops and asked to do them. Whatever the case, everyone knows doing them is not easy, and no one knows if they actually tell the cops anything. To learn more, keep reading.

I’m a Seattle DUI attorney. That means I have a good idea what I should cost. But I know how you feel because I have to purchase services too. Like plumbers, auto mechanics, or surgeons. And, much of the time I have no idea if I’m overpaying, underpaying, or hitting it just right. Hopefully this article sheds some light on the subject.

I’m a Seattle DUI attorney. That means I deal with people facing the consequences of a DUI charge day in and day out. Unless you are charged with one, you usually don’t understand all of the penalties involved. But they are substantial. And no one wants to do them if they don’t have to.

Driving a car in Seattle, Washington is usually a pretty smooth ride. That is, unless you are pulled over and investigated for DUI. You’ve been charged with a DUI in California. You were driving home from the bar when you got pulled over for an expired inspection sticker or maybe you were weaving in and out of the lines. Whatever the reason, the officer became suspicious and asked you if you’d been drinking. He then gave you a field sobriety test which involved following a pen with your eyes, walking a straight line and saying the alphabet backwards. Then, he administered a breathalyzer test.

Sure, you admit you went out drinking. You admit that you had a beer or two over at your friend’s house while watching the game. Then you decided to drive home because you were tired. The next thing you know, you’re being pulled over. Something about an expired inspection sticker. The officer shines a light in your eyes and asks if you’ve been drinking. No, you tell him. He asks you to step out of the car. You stumble getting out. You slipped, you say. The officer then puts you in handcuffs and tells you he is taking you to jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. You’re now facing a DUI charge, which, in California can be quite severe. But you can fight the charge with a good San Diego DUI attorney.
